🏫 Info 🏫
I am a graduate student at Bentley University, pursuing a Master's degree in Human Factors in Information Design. I recently graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Science in Informatics, specializing in Human-Computer Interaction.
💖 Design 💖
I habitually analyze any object I have seen to see if it has a clear signifier that users could easily use immediately without instructions. I design user-centric solutions that resonate with user preferences and needs.
🇻🇳 Home 🇻🇳
I am originally from Hanoi, Vietnam, and I am currently residing in Seattle, Washington. I am proficient in two languages: Vietnamese and English. Additionally, I have a limited working proficiency in Chinese, both in understanding and speaking.
🌎 Background 🌎
I have been studying in international schools since a young age, which has enabled me to adapt to various cultures and enjoy working with people from different parts of the world.
✈️ My Design Journey ✈️
✈️ My Design Journey ✈️
I like to help people around me, as helping people makes me happy. I've explored various fields, such as teaching, medicine, and even influencing to promote products that would be helpful in their lives.
However, upon entering college, I was unsure of what to major in, but I knew I wanted to make everything people use more accessible by addressing user needs. My first Informatics class ignited my interest in design, as I learned that the design thinking process tackles user problems and creates solutions by prototyping. It made me realize how pervasive and crucial design is, making daily interactions easier for everyone, like using elevator buttons or door handles, which are known as signifiers.

All my personal and work experiences and observations further made me realize that designing products could significantly impact users' lives, such as making design features more accessible and inclusive or managing food quantity in the fridge to prevent waste. This inspired me to pursue a career as a UX designer, where I could create products that have a meaningful impact on every user's life and promote inclusivity.
